Friendship..

For as long as i can remember, a part of me has always wondered about the purpose of certain people being in my life. Better yet, my purpose on this earth? After reading John 15:9-17, i got somewhat of a better understanding. I was able to examine the fact that God STILL has a purpose for me. All life is created by GOD & bears his autograph. As far as friendship? Friendship is grounded in love; all it takes is commitment, loyalty, & faithfulness. How? Let's break it down--Real friends are concerned about YOU reaching your FULL potential, as well as YOUR happiness. Real friends are concerned about your present and your FUTURE well-being. After realizing that, i can think of a few REAL friends of my own. Real friends are willing to sacrifice their comfort, money, time, resources or whatever it is that you may need so that you may prosper. After reading this, i instantly thought of Alicia Keys' song "Diary". Hmm..i have very few friends that i can trust with my secrets & know that they are safe with them. Funny, but they are males? Yeah, i'm an ex-tomboy & males seem to understand me better than females. God's command is for US to love each other. (John 15:12). Have you taken time out of your day to thank God for blessing you with friends? Have you taken time out to thank your friends and tell them how grateful you are for them being in your life?
